Week14 Dev Log
We're in the final stretch now! This week was all about polish and localization flair. Our Fungus coder got a point system and rewards system up for the game -- now, when you unlock points by playing the games (and, depending on the game, if you got the question correct), you can go to the rewards room and unlock badges, which have a cute little bear plushie dressed in different outfits!
In terms of localization, we've FINALLY got something decent - we can now select a language, and it'll save that language for the other scenes. There are several problems, though. We still have to translate manually, and part of the system works by "tracking changes" that are made for each language. However, repeat words aren't translating unless they're visible -- which, for our assets that have to be hidden to play the game or else it doesn't work correctly, that makes for a weird issue that we're still problem solving.
We've also begun preparation for the showcase, and progress has been made on the trailer. We have 6 days until our deadline - we're going strong, but this is our last big push!
