Week 8 Devlog
This week, we worked on enhancing the visual effects of the images on our game buttons, adding a dynamic look and feel. The sentence creation feature is still in progress and is expected to be completed this weekend.
We researched localization and explored the possibility of adding "levels" or randomization to the picture matching game. A new pause menu has been implemented, allowing players to pause, quit, or return to the main hub. Additionally, more work was done on sentence building, making it more readable and easier to code or expand.
We've also created additional backgrounds for the mini games, including matching words, picture matching, and sentence building.
The mechanics for two out of three our main games are operational: Sentence Building and Picture Matching. Our focus now is to finish the gameplay on the last game, Word Matching, and make sure everything works correctly.
Hours Spent:
- Sentence creation: 4 hours
- Button icons: 4 hours
- Localization research: 4 hours
- Pause menu and sentence building: 7 hours
- Background creation: 10 hours
