Week13 Dev Log
This week, we focused a lot on polishing and beginning the steps towards recording our trailer. Our artists drew silhouetted versions of our art assets in the various categories — food, clothing, family, etc. — so that we can use the drag and drop system sort of like a puzzle for the kids to help make it more interactive. Localization has had a lot of work done; We thought that we would need to use two different localization systems, and we still do for the word matching in particular (it’s still giving us a bit of trouble!) but the file formatting was corrected, so we’re able to now use characters that aren’t typical in English, which means we can use proper accents for Spanish, as well as translate into languages such as Arabic and Chinese, which is huge. We also have the animations started for the beginning of our trailer - so far, we have a bit of work to do still, but the finish line is in sight, now!
